DIL Washington, D.C. held its 11th annual gala at the Sheraton Premiere on September 21^st. The chapter president Nina Rana welcomed the guests and briefed the audience on the DIL’s achievements.  The event attracted almost 300 guests from across the DC metro area. Peter Bergen, N.Y. Times bestselling author, delivered the keynote address. His Excellency, U.S. Ambassador Mr. Cameron Munter, attended along with other dignitaries. Laila Karamally, DIL’s Executive Director, delivered a powerful presentation and showcased DIL’s newest four-part video series. Dinner was followed by a glamorous fashion show managed by AYT Events, featuring HSY, Rani Emaan, Goal etc. A successful silent auction was also held.
