DIL holds numerous fundraising events throughout the year; attending events is one of the best ways to help DIL in its efforts to bring literacy to parts of rural Pakistan. YOUR DIL- DIL’s youth branch- also has fundraising events listed on their website at www.yourdil.org.

Host an Event/Conduct a Fundraiser
You can organize smaller DIL fundraisers in your very own community. The possibilities are endless:

How Your Company Can Help
Corporate funding of DIL projects results in a mutually beneficial relationship. In addition to aiding the cause of literacy, contributing to DIL is an excellent PR opportunity. Consumers today prefer socially conscious companies. There are several options available to companies looking to contribute to DIL.

Specific Need Donation:
Your company can choose to contribute money for use for a specific project, e.g., school or classroom construction, school supplies, computer labs, etc.

General Donations: Your company can donate a lump sum of any amount to DIL for its various expenses.

Company Fundraisers: Does your company have an annual corporate charity golf tournament, or perhaps an office softball game? You can donate the proceeds from your next internal company charity event to DIL.

Internships and Volunteering
Sowing the seeds of literacy is a huge investment of time as well as money. DIL is always looking for committed volunteers and unpaid interns to lend a helping hand.

• have previous experience working with nonprofits like DIL?

If you possess any of these qualities, or more, you are the perfect candidate to work with DIL.
Hours vary and are flexible. School credit awarded for Internships, where needed. All that is required from you is a desire to aid in the cause of literacy.
