On April 14, 2012, DIL Las Vegas Chapter hosted its second annual gala titled “Hollywood, Lollywood, Bollywood,” a movie-themed event. It was a great success with 340 attendees and $65,000 raised. Guests participated by dressing up in all the glitz and glamor of movie stars and were welcomed by Oscar style red carpet. Pooja Kumar, an actress who has worked both in Hollywood and Lollywood, charmed the audience with her powerful words for educating and empowering underprivileged students. Guests were also entertained by dances from American, Pakistani, and Indian movies.
