Developments in Literacy

Teacher development

Empowering educators to lead learning.

Every confident, engaged student begins with a teacher who is equipped, supported, and inspired. DIL invests deeply in the professional growth of teachers and school leaders, because meaningful education starts with those delivering it.

How we build teacher capacity

Specialized Training Teams

DIL has subject-specific lead trainers across Early Childhood Education, English, Urdu, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as pedagogy and school leadership. These teams support both DIL community schools and government schools across Pakistan.

Ongoing Support & Coaching

Support doesn’t end with a workshop. Teachers receive regular follow-ups, school visits, one-on-one mentoring, and coaching aligned with real classroom needs.

Practice-Based Learning

Teachers engage in hands-on, interactive sessions, including micro-teaching, activity modeling, and peer collaboration.

Flexible Delivery Models

Training is offered through in-person, blended, and asynchronous mobile formats, ensuring consistent support across diverse and low-resource settings.

A high-impact training model

DIL’s approach follows a four-phase model designed for relevance and retention:

01

Training Needs Analysis

Classroom observations, learner profiling, and baseline assessments

02

Customized Modules

Subject-aligned manuals, activities, and assessment tools

03

Learner-Centered Delivery

Interactive teaching strategies and reflection

04

Post-Training Support

Coaching, monitoring, and continuous engagement
