Jawad Ali studies in Grade 4, his family composed of 25 members living in poverty, his father a day laboring farmer. It took three years for his family to build their home in Sindh, but it was completely destroyed by the calamitous August 2022 floods, forcing Jawad’s family to move into a small space underneath a pink makeshift tent.

Today, whilst juggling his studies, Jawad still toils in the fields with his father and several other family members to try to revive their primary source of income.
